Mitchell Starc, a star Australian fast bowler, was spotted engaging in conversation with Indian spectators during Day 1 of the second Test on Friday, December 6 at Adelaide Oval. Notably, Starc was in imperious form throughout the day, claiming his 15th five-wicket haul in Test cricket.
In between stints, as the Australian speedster approached the boundary, he was met by a crowd of Indian supporters chanting KKR. In a viral video, supporters welcomed Starc with “Starcy loves IPL” chants. Later in the video, the shouts changed to ‘KKR’ as the Australian star made a money-related motion with his hands. Starc was just purchased by Delhi Capitals (DC) for Rs 11.75 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first, while the squad made three changes, with Rohit, Shubman Gill, and Ravichandran Ashwin joining the lineup. India got off to the worst possible start as Starc dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal on the opening ball of the encounter, sending him out LBW.
