The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declared that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) players’ draft will take place in the Balochistani province’s coastal city of Gwadar on January 11. Notably, the PCB has also contemplated Dubai and England as possible locations.
The statement was delivered by Mohsin Naqvi, the board chairman, who stepped center stage. However, the location’s specifics and the event’s schedule will be made public eventually. Although Gwadar has one of the most picturesque cricket fields in the nation, no games have been played there as of yet because to assaults on nearby security posts.

Additionally, Mohsin Naqvi discussed the location and how Gwadar will contribute to the promotion of cricket among Balochistani citizens.
“Gwadar is the center of Pakistan’s economic future because of its breathtaking coastline and strategic significance. We want to celebrate the togetherness that cricket offers to our country and showcase its cultural and economic significance by holding the PSL player draft here,” Naqvi was quoted as saying by India Today.
“I look forward to welcoming all the franchises and relevant stakeholders to the beautiful city of Gwadar as we take an exciting step toward marking the start of the 10th edition of Pakistan’s biggest sporting extravaganza,” he said.
Additionally, the list of Pakistani players that were selected for the platinum category was just released by the PCB. However, the board has not yet made the final list of international players public.
