The Kolkata Knight Riders will compete in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) with Indian pacer Umran Malik and England all-rounder Moeen Ali.After receiving no offers in the first round, the players were signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders.Moeen and Umran were notable for being chosen at their base values of ₹2 crore and ₹75 lakh, respectively.
As previously stated, the franchises in the first round of the auction disregarded Moeen.
With more than 360 caps, the Englishman is among the most successful all-rounders in T20 cricket.
In 2018, he made his IPL debut with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Moeen was selected by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) following three dry seasons. He remained a member until 2024.
Moeen contributes a wealth of cross-format experience. He has six half-centuries under his belt and an IPL strike rate of above 141. Moeen, an off-spin bowler, has taken 35 wickets.
