The Chennai Super Kings purchased Afghanistan’s teenage phenom Noor Ahmad for Rs 10 crore during Sunday’s IPL 2025 big auction in Jeddah.
CSK originally purchased the left-arm wrist spinner for Rs 5 crore. The Gujarat Titans decided to utilize their Right to Match card, but GT objected when CSK increased the price to Rs 10 crore.

With an economy rate of little more than eight runs per over, the youthful player has taken 24 wickets in 23 IPL games.
In addition, CSK acquired pacer Khaleel Ahmed, New Zealand hitters Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra, and Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. They now have 11 players and have at least seven more to purchase with the Rs 16.80 crore that is still over.
