Many people consider Kagiso Rabada, a fast bowler from South Africa, to be among the best of the contemporary age. In 2017, Rabada debuted with the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In 2017, Kagiso Rabada joined the Delhi Daredevils (now the Delhi Capitals) to start his IPL career. After making an impression on the Delhi management during his debut season, Rabada had a setback in 2018 due to a back issue that prevented him from participating in the competition.

Rabada then made a comeback in 2019 and dominated the league, taking 25 wickets in 12 games to become Delhi’s top wicket-taker. For the first time since 2012, Delhi made it to the playoffs because to Rabada’s outstanding season-long effort.

In 2020, Rabada elevated his bowling to a new level, taking 30 wickets in 17 games to capture the Purple Cap, the tournament’s best wicket-taker award.

At the 2022 IPL mega auction, Punjab Kings paid a premium INR 9.25 crores for the South African fast bowler. In just 64 games while playing for the team, Rabada reached the 100 IPL wicket mark, being the fastest bowler to do so in terms of the number of games played.
